Production

Products were kept in the forefront while remaining in New York during 1985, but once moved to Canada in 1986 plastic gave way to wood, and commercial object-making soon made way for construction projects. These are transitional objects made during that period of flux. A resistance to the popularity of painting and expression informed much of that work, with a use of domestic products as a replacement to paint and brushes, and with the dripping of ink and dyes onto towels and wipes. Optics also came into the vision as a reference to the lens.
